Do you need support to sit a test?
Cambridge provides access arrangements for candidates who cannot sit a test under the usual conditions because of a visual, hearing, physical or learning difficulty. You apply through Korea Cambridge Assessment Centre.
Tell us before you register, as soon as you can
The centre needs time to prepare and Cambridge sets its own deadlines, so the earlier you tell us, the more options are open to you. If you have already registered, tell us anyway rather than assuming it is too late.
There is no additional charge
Using access arrangements does not raise your exam fee and carries no separate charge.
Please do not write down a diagnosis
The registration and enquiry forms on this site do not collect health information — no condition names, diagnoses, disability categories or medical certificates. A coordinator will contact you separately to work out what support you need. In the enquiry form, it is enough to say that you need support to sit a test.

Handled within the normal registration process
For Cambridge English Qualifications (A2 Key to C2 Proficiency) and Young Learners, access arrangements are requested as part of the normal registration process. If you are testing with a school or academy, go through your organisation contact; if you are registering yourself, tell the centre directly.
Linguaskill
What is offered, and by when to ask, is published
Cambridge publishes which arrangements Linguaskill offers and the notice each one needs, so it is set out in full below — please read that first. Some of them cannot be provided remotely, so depending on what you need you will have to contact us before you register.
Placement (CEPT · YLPT)
Not offered as standard
CEPT and YLPT are short tests used for levelling and class placement, so we do not run access arrangements for them as standard. If you need support to sit one, please contact us before you register and we will look at what is possible with you.
Linguaskill
For Linguaskill, what is offered and when to ask is published
Linguaskill provides arrangements for candidates with a temporary or permanent disability or other medical requirements — this covers visual, hearing and speech difficulties, and candidates who need more time. Either way there is no additional charge.
Provided online
Reading and Listening can be taken as modified versions with more time. This has to be requested at least two UK working days before the test date.
Provided at a test centre only
Braille question papers, enlarged question papers, Listening audio adapted to specific needs, and a Listening test for lip-reading are provided at a test centre only and cannot be provided remotely. They need at least three weeks to arrange.
How that lines up with our booking windows
The earliest test date you can pick for an individual remote booking is four working days away, so if you tell us as you register, the extra-time arrangement online can still be requested in time through the normal flow — tell us as early as you can, because UK public holidays eat into that margin. The arrangements that exist only at a test centre need at least three weeks, which is earlier than our booking window even opens, so if you need one of those, please contact us instead of registering.

How it works
- 01Tell the centre before you register. In the enquiry form, choose "Access arrangements" as the enquiry type.
- 02A coordinator contacts you to work out what support you need. This step happens directly with the coordinator, not on this website.
- 03The centre follows the Cambridge process, and once everything is settled we confirm it to you along with your exam schedule.

Where this guidance comes from
The first item in the Summary Regulations for Candidates, which Cambridge publishes for candidates, tells you to inform your centre as soon as possible if you need access arrangements, and the Cambridge English Regulations require enquiries about these arrangements to be made through centres as soon as possible.
For CEQ and YLE, the Cambridge booklet that sets out which arrangements exist and how they are applied for is confidential to authorised exam centres, so we do not reproduce it here.
